Steph, of 3 Hours Past the Edge of the World, made me a pattern for a super cute kimono-sleeve tee!
Well, I guess you guys can use it too. As long as you put it back when you’re done. And don’t go losing my instructions, either!
And just in time for Christmas, too.
Unfortunately for me, I’m so busy with all my other insane Christmas sewing (not to mention all the other insanities of life) that it’s not going to get stitched up in time for Christmas. Poo.
She even sent me some of her nifty Bird on a Wire fabric to bribe me encourage me to test the pattern out.
Hush. I can be as goofy with my spanky fabric as I like. And I was going to crop out my fugly socks, but, y’know. Sometimes ya just gotta go with the goofiness.
That fabric is so cute! That’ll make for a fun shirt π And if you think those socks are fugly, you should see my reindeer slipper socks that I’ve been meaning to post on the blog. I bought them mostly to see my sisters’ reactions and they didn’t disappoint.
Bring on the reindeer socks! ’tis the season, after all. π
I laaaaaaaaughed uproariously when I saw your first photo… Awesome. π
Glad to lighten your day ;).
Now I get to be jealous of your fabric! I would totally steal Birds on a Wire because it is AWESOMESAUCE.
I feel your pain on sewing. I’m looking at a no-sew weekend because I have to bake instead…and as much as I do like baking, I really prefer sewing. I don’t even know when I’ll have time to commune with my mojo this holiday season!
Hey, it’s a spoonflower fabric, you can have it too! π
I have done no baking yet, and have no plans to unless I am seized by the urge next weekend. I wish my hubs would decide to bake. He’s off all next week…
oh sew it soon, so we can see it! I am so stinkin sick (with the flu) that all I do is lay around and I don’t even have the energy to sew. But I DID print our her pattern and I am patting myself for getting that far π
Blerg on sick! Especially this time of the year. I have not yet succumbed this fall—here’s hoping I can keep that up (at least until New Years…)
You’re ahead of me for having the pattern printed off already…
I can’t wait to see that made up. Very cool indeed.
