Today I made our annual Christmas cards. No, they won’t be there in time for Christmas. (Really they never are) It’s hard with crafts like this not to try to outdo yourself each year… But this year is definitely a “roll-back” year… Especially since the box with all my stamp pads and embossing powder is MIA at the moment. Note to Mom and Crafty and anyone else on the Christmas list who reads this: you are still familially obligated to act surprised and delighted when you get your actual card.
Great card! Those costumes were just brilliant. Best wishes for the holidays from Maine.
Thanks and best wishes to you, too!
Very nice cards! Nice blending of two holidays! Merry Halloween!
too many exclamation points, that what happens when I read blogs ten minutes after getting out of bed.
Exclamation points are always appreciated. Especially early in the morning. 😉
ah, those are terriffic! i didn’t make or send a single card this year…
Well, I haven’t sent any yet… 😉
Absolutely adorable. A Christmas miracle at my house: I sent most of my cards already. A Christmas confession: They are last year’s cards, that I neglected to address and stamp for last Christmas. Your card is already on its way from my house, Ms. Tanitisis, honey. The Lord above knows when it will get to you … .
Oonaballoona, if I knew your address, I’d send you a card. Think of the biggest, brightest, most life-affirming card you can imagine, and pretend that it is on the way from all your friends and admirers. Merry Christmas!
LinB, I have totally done that. (Especially embarrassing as the cards had photos of the kids in them).
Can’t wait for your card, whenever it arrives. 😉
Those are great cards! I have a hard time believing they could be a roll back.
Well, last year’s had two cut-out bits and several embossed stamps. This has just the one cut-out and no stamps at all. Roll back. 😉
I do like them, though.
Heh, these are great! I love that you got to use pictures of your kids in those great costumes for Christmas since you spent so much time on them. I wrote up a bunch of Christmas cards, but not a one has been sent off. As per usual. 🙂
Yeah, it wound up being a wonderful combination of serendipity and laziness… and Lady Katza was right, Steampunk Christmas is awesome. 🙂
I started doing pictures of the kids for Christmas cards, oh, four or five years ago? And they’ve been slowly getting fancier and more elaborate. It was good to have a roll-back year. 🙂
Wow I’m impressed you are doing Christmas cards given all the upheaval of late chez-Tanit. We haven’t moved house and I’ve just got cards to write (not home-made ones) and I still haven’t done them…
Catching up on blogs finally! And I have to say, these are gorgeous! Steampunk Christmas IS awesome.
