Tasia loves me, this I know
for the postman tells me so…
I thought these weren’t even shipping until next week. When I got a PayPal notification on Friday that my pattern had shipped, I thought it was probably a glitch.
But no—there it was in the mailbox Monday morning.
Now for the hard questions—which view do I make first? And what fabric?
Same here, mines arrived on Friday.
I plan to tackle View A.
Wow, quick! Love it when the mail does that. (It’s so rare!) 🙂
It’s really odd that I get mail from Canada much faster than I get stuff in the States.
Knowing your shape, I think you’d be happier with View A. I love the look of the pattern, but I’m pretty sure it falls into the category of “too young” for me these days. The closer I get to 40, the more comfortable I get with aging but some styles are starting to feel….wrong.
Well, the whole point of Project Drop Waist was to make View B a possibility ;). I agree view A would probably be better as-is… and I’ve got a couple of pieces of fabric that won’t be enough for a full-skirted version.
I’m going to be thirty-two this fall… I have occasional twinges of “that’s too young,” but so far I fight them off. Nothing like a bit of denial. 🙂
Hello there! I’m sorry I’ve been so rude and only looked in your blog now, a month overdue! Usual thesis nonsence etc. Thanks for coming by! This is my first comment, though not my first visit – I stalked you for a bit before I got busy with work. But now you’re on my reader, so it’s official!
I love your writing style and I’m bowled over by how much we have in common – we’re the same age, and I’ve only just finished up being a grad student, and I have two girls too (though much much smaller than yours), and I have the exact same fit issues with my waist! Though your body shape is still so much more beautiful than mine!
Oh, I’m glad you stopped by! I fully understand thesis nonsense, congratulations on getting through it. I hope to read more posts from you in the future! 🙂
Thanks so much for the compliments (blush).
I got mine yesterday, so fast! I read the instructions on the subway ride home yesterday and it looks really straightforward. View A looks like it won’t take too long to put together and I’d like to wear it to a work event in early June! Though my inability to finish a project these days astounds me…
Yeah, I have some unfinisheds that are bugging the snot out of me. /sigh. I was hoping to have a dress for this weekend, but, not gonna happen.
It does look deceptively simple, doesn’t it? 🙂
