Home stretch.

My husband’s shirt is done and my uncle’s vest nearly. I am bribing myself to finish the shirt for my father’s Christmas present. It’s a short-sleeved Negroni, about as easy as a shirt can get, and I am following the instructions to the letter (to the best of my abilities, anyway… I suck at following instructions.) so I don’t have to expend mental energy thinking about other ways to do things. And I want SO BADLY to throw it all in the corner an make a Tiramisu.

  1. Nice self-bribery! Lots of selfless stitching in your world. Prob more enjoyable than shopping (?).
Enjoy time with your family! Hope you are having fun in Sask!

  2. Don’t worry. Only a couple of days left! And the Tiramisu is quite quick, in the scheme of things…

  3. That’s awesome! I’m making a Tiramisu after Christmas too – let’s get these unselfish makes out of the way & get back to the good stuff! lol ^_^

  4. You can do it! Let the M&Ms lead the way 😉

Oh boy I so badly want to throw all my”have to get it done for christmas” stuff into the corner and make a tiramisu too! Boxing day, roll on!

  6. You can do it! I’ve been doing a lot of Christmas sewing myself and I finally said “eff it, I want a plaid dress”.

  7. Just keep sewing Just keep sewing Just keep sewing. Hopefully you are nearly done by now :o) and can start that Tiramisu already already.

  8. Wow, what an effort! I don’t even have Christmas (here in the Netherlands, Christmas is not a traditional gift-exchanging kind of holiday) sewing obligations and yet I keep procrastinating on the development of E’s new coat…
Best of luck with the shirt and the vest and I hope you’ll get time for that dress very soon.

  9. You can do it! You are so close! But, I know how it feels to want to just chuck it in the corner and work on something else…
